The Curse Of TV
Curse Of TV is game about children's phobias.
Grounded for bad behavior, little boy is left alone, locked inside his room. Now he has enough time to cope with his deepest fears and phobias. To beat the horror coming from the TV set, he must find a way to shut it off first. This is exactly what happens when you watch to much horror movies on TV. Now you must urgently turn off the TV.

This is a short little game which can be hardly called a horror game. It originates from the last years 'game jam', a competition which takes place somewhere in Russia. This competition gathers talented indie developers who are instructed to make games on certain subject. On that occasion, the subject were 'phobias'. Author is Zahairov Pavel (skyflys.net), who also did art and all of the programming. Music, I think belongs to Denis Médard. By the way, the game ranked 6th place on that competition.

The inspiration for the game came probably from the movie 'Ring'. If you can recall, there's a scene in which a little girl, with a long black hair falling over her face, gets out of the TV set straight into a guy's living room and starts to crawl across the floor. The author also left an illustration which supports this theses, as you can see below.

How to play
The game has time limit. As the time passes by, the fear level, shown in a meter in the bottom of the screen, slowly gets filled. Once it fills up, the game is over. First you must pick up the remote control. You'll find it laying down on the floor, right next to the bed. Next you want to kick the ball and break the wall clock. Take one battery out of it. The second battery is hidden inside the toy, which you must knock down from the book shelf. Finally, press 'q' button to put batteries inside the RC, and to use it to turn off the TV. You win!Scene From The Movie 'Ring' showing a girl coming out of a TV set
