Risk Subway Escape
Risk Subway Escape
Risk Subway Escape
Risk Subway Escape is a story about a boy who found himself inside destroyed subway tunnels and he is trying to find the way out of there.
Storyline
You are waking up in a subway train to find out that chaos is all around you. You are not quite sure what had happened but there isn't a soul around you. The walls are covered in blood, things scattered on the floor, you see broken bricks and flames. Your job is to find the way out of there ASAP. Collect items you can use later on to escape.
How to play
Like all point and click games you use only mouse to play. To move from one car to the next you click on big red arrows you can see on your left and right side. If you click on an item it will automatically move to your pallet at the bottom of the screen and you can use it later on. For example: some of the items you will find are a cross, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, crowbar. Here comes a little SPOILER for those who decide on reading this review. To open the locomotive door you don't need a key, you will open it using a crowbar. When you get inside you press a big orange button and all doors open at once. Go back, get out on the platform and use the fire extinguisher to get rid of the big fire there. In the second car you will find a man with a broken leg and a dog. Help him using first aid kit, then click on the dog and he will follow you. The dog will help you get the keys stuck in the wrecked car. Now, the confusion starts. Strange beings will start to appear, big red ghosts, giant spider, someone laying in the pentagram drawn on the ground. The story gets a whole new dimension to it and if you find yourself stuck, you can always consult the WALKTROUGH down below.
About the Game
The game was made by Nikolay Marchenko and Alina Oleinik for Casual Game Design Competition 10 in july 2012. Nikolay is focused on making the room escape games and besides this one his other known games are Mission Pegasus Escape and Death Embrace Escape 2, made for bored.com. This competition is traditionally organized every year and main organizer is jayisgames.com. Each year the theme is different, and the theme for 2012 was Escape. The rewards are not very big (only 1000 us dollars) but this competition still brings some publicity to the publishers. Our humble plans are that some day crazyscarygames.com becomes the sponsor of this competition in the 'SCARY' category.

Good and Bad sides of the game
The English instructions need a little work because they are a bit hard to understand. There is no clear intro into the story as to what had happened and what the goal is. The player starts intuitively to roam around and search for the way out, but there are no clear directions at the beginning of the game. At some point of the game, supernatural beings start to appear without any clear indication on why they are there and how they even fit into the story. The player is also a bit disoriented while moving through the cars. The good sides are that graphics is great, the music theme is excellent and overall atmosphere is good and that makes a lot for the overall impression of the game when compared to the confusing gameplay.

Elizabeth4779 :
When you click on the key it says, "I'll not get it." Is that even grammatically correct?
Elizabeth4779 :
Also the walktrough button doesn't work. Can you leave a link in the description?
