Game relies on well-known concept of collecting money and spending it in garage for upgrades. You can buy there the usual stuff such as: getting 20% better engine, some nitro gas, filling up the fuel tank or upgrading the tank's cannon. Nothing unseen so far. What I haven't seen in similar games is the opportunity to buy 'helpers'. These are characters located in two rows on the right side of the 'shop' screen - 'Bomb Spider', 'Fuel Bob', 'Nitro Joe', 'Margaret The Witch', 'Rich Denzel' and others. Helpers only occasionally show up on the way. After you pick them up of drive them over, you are getting help in gasoline, money, destructive powers, bombs and so on. It's really convenient. Each helper costs certain money, so you can't just buy them all. This is what drives player to go for more to see what happens next.
As you can see there's a road indicator in the top part of the screen, depicting the garage at the far right. At first, I though that was my destination point but couldn't get that far, because of loosing fuel much earlier. Later on I realized there's no such thing as destination point, but you drive as far as you can get.
Funny Zombie games are not in my fav list, but I decided to give this game a try, and it was worth it. Similarity with Earn to Die series is more than coincidental, but it was still very fun. As you slowly progress, the game offers more and more upgrades and 'helper' characters. It's fine balanced, fast-paced, and it runs flawlessly. With so many driving games where you kill zombies by driving over them with your terrain vehicle, than why not bringing that to the next level by leaning back behind the steering wheel of a military tank.
