Zombie Trapper 2

This is a 3rd person defense shooter where you play as a cop and you fight against zombies.

Storyline

You are a cop who is protecting some kind of hell machine from incoming hordes of zombies. Zombies are coming from your right side and you can shoot them with a gun or stab them with a knife. Headshots are by far the most efficient. You must save the ammo, because if the last wave of zombies comes and you have only knife in your hand, there is no telling what could happen. At the very end, when zombies come dangerously close to the machine and start pounding on it, you will be warned by a sign which addresses the machine as an air purifier. That probably means that the zombie virus is spread by air and that these machines keep it under control long enough for the cop to destroy the zombies.

About the game

This is a MiniClip game, just recently released, in the october 2013. In terms of graphics, this game is very well done compared to the most of the games from this genre. Zombies move 'realistically', moving slowly and dragging one leg, and when shot there is no blood spraying all around but some kind of sticky green goo. The combination of WASD keys with a left click has proven best for the players in these kind of shooting games. Other keys are also well placed: to change weapons (E) and reload (R). At the beginning the short intro introduces you to the rules and controls. Above every zombie and mummy and later boss-zombie there is a hit box as health indicator which shows how many hits are necessary until the zombie is dead.

Inventory

You can get to the store and buy a new gun, machine gun, sniper gun, bullet proof west, ammo, baseball bat, bombs and traps, in the amount depending on how much money you have. Traps do not kill zombies but are equally efficient because they immobilize them, and there are 7 kinds of those. The very concept of the store is typical and doesn't bring anything new compared to what we are use to so far. That goes for the entire game - nothing new.

Achievements

The game contains great number of achievements. From 'Expert Trapper', 'Zombie Butcher','Head-shot Master' to the 'Destroyer' and finally 'King of achievements'.

• unoriginal
• most weapons are locked and to collect enough money you have to play the game several times
• you are constantly told what to do. The player should have more freedom to explore independently
• at the first level you can buy only what the game lets you
