Astrocreep - Don't Mess With Aliens

Astrocreep is a Visitors-like horror game about an alien who invades a space station and kills everybody on board. You start off in a worm shape with the ultimate goal to evolve and infect the whole station, but you will have to go first through several transformation stages before you will be able to accomplish that level. That includes killing humans in the most gruesome way of course.

So, the game sounds very much like the Visitors, isn't it? It's a point and click version of an Alien movie, only played from the perspective of the monster. There's another question this game is trying to address, the eternal question: Are we alone in Universe? Very much not. Maybe we should not even try to make a contact. The encounter might be far less intriguing and pleasant than most people could imagine. Conclusion: Don't mess with the aliens.

How to play Astrocreep? It's easy. All you need to do is to click on certain items in certain order and make things happen. first, click on a dead astronaut to unleash the worm. That's your little alien friend played by you. Then turn off the lights and click on a lamp to get your friend climb up the hanging shelves. There's a vent, but to get through you need to first take out screws and get off a metal mesh vent cover before anyone sees you. Once in a vent system, moving through the pipes is not easy. You will have to help it out to go through and make its way to another room. This (second) stage is like some mini puzzle game.

The image above is about level 3, or should I call it level 2 if that pipe puzzle was just an intermediate level. Nevertheless, when you kill this guy on a toilet, you will get promoted into a new alien evolutional form, something that looks like a spider.

I won't be going further into the details. The creature will keep on killing humans and evolving. First, you will get bigger head and tentacles. Then, legs will grow out of the head (actually it stole them from a lab guy, but first he literally skinned his upper part of the body with an acid) and finally, ... I won't tell.
