Cold Grip is a flash based horror role playing game developed by Iconic Games about one guy facing a dark infection apocalypse.

Cold Grip is a survival/psychological based game. The main gold for this character is to survive harsh winter elements in an unknown part of Alaska. And your actions depend on the outcome of the game, so it's like Beyond: Two Souls" or "Heavy Rain" but it doesn't have those controls.

You might even find 'Cold Grip' a bit boring at first. I mean, a regular middle aged guy lives alone in the wildness, doing his boring daily routine. But, it turns out that staying alive enough to see the end of day is actually quite a challenge and this is where the fun begins.

Normally, there should be nothing specifically weird about a single guy living alone in the woods. Some people just prefer living like that, on their own in the wildiness. But this guy, Sam, he is not like that, he's just a regular guy, like any of us, who was forced to flee from the city and leave everything behind because of a horror taking over the entire world.

An unusual infection which comes with the darkness kills everything it gets in contact with. As you will see, if Sam fails to survive and darkness gets to him, his body will literally explode to pieces and he will die instantly in a horrorible death. The source or the cause remain unknown, and until someone comes up with the cure your and Sam's only choice is to stay put and to try to survive.

In order to survive Sam must follow certain rules, quite usual things like finding food and water.If he gets hungry, he must go out and search for food - meat or berries. If he gets cold, he must chop some woods to make a fire. Beside keeping his belly full and his place worm, he must also make sure to keep this place always lit, because the danger comes with the dark. If he gets tired he should go to bed and have some rest. If you hear strange noises or baby craying or if it start getting unusually dark, that means that the infection is in the near and you must go to your shed as soon as possible. Even if you are inside the house and you ran out of water or food, you will die too.
