Escape From Slender 3D

Escape From the Slender 3D is get as far as you can type of game where you run off from Slenderman and jump over the deadly obstacles. Slenderman is just a boogieman who scares you and makes you run, but the real threat comes from the obstacles such as barbwire stretched between the logs. It's late October and since this is Halloween season we have inevitable pumpkins that you collect to gain more points. To bad you can't trade them for extra life as this game, as it is, does not forgive mistakes. Once you hit the log, you die and start over (in you want of course). Generally this is nice and original idea to use the unoriginal, birds on a wire or temple run concept and apply to Slenderman story. I liked the background music and effects and especially I liked the creepy laughs. What I didn't like was too simple gameplay, but nice try for an indie game.

Escape From the Slenderman 3D for Android

Escape From Slenderman for Android is fortunatus lucas game practically identical to Unity version you get to play on crazyscarygames.com. One thing is specific about Android version - it's music. The whole time you will have to listen Gangnam Style theme in the background, which you might soon find either annoying or at least not appropriate for this game and the genre it belongs to. 'i' or Instructions are pretty much detailed and common for both Unity and Android version. Let's learn Android controls:

swipe up to jump
swipe left to strafe left
swipe right to strafe right
swipe down to duck

I've noticed that gyro controls are not working well not at least on my samsung s4. Leaning the phone to the left and right is ok, but I simply couldn't get it how to jump over the obstacles. First barbwire and I am splashed in blood all over the screen. Moreover, It seems that the developer simply output the build for Unity keeping the 'swipe' and 'gyro' controls even though they're not functional on PC's of course. Maybe I am wrong in case of Windows 8.1. We never tested the game on large Microsoft touch pads. I am one of those who prefer playing on PC. It would be hilarious to see people play this game on large touch pad in 'gyro' mode. (gyro is short from gyroscope, just in case)
