Horror Room Escape

You've been locked inside a strange hotel which basement hides a murder scene.

Horror Room Escape is a classic point and click game with a horror theme, so don't expect to get scared or see any jumpscares. All you need to do is click on certain items, picked them up in the tool box at the bottom, and find the correct way to use them in order to unlock doors and safes. Most of these things are either hidden or locked, so you must use your brain to find the right purpose for them. To be honest I didn't try to solve the mystery myself, so I don't know if it's even possible to escape the hotel without occasional peek into the solution. On the other hand, where's the fun in just following the manual, so I recommend you at least try to solve it on your own.

The point is that if you were looking for true horror and scary scenes, you'd better move on as you won't find any in this game. The only reason I've added it in the collection is because of a murder scene set in a spooky hotel, but this is not really scary game. On the other hand, many people like spending hours on these mind boggling puzzles, so I gave it a shot. Feel free to leave comments and tell me what you think about it.

Horror Room Escape Text Walkthrough

go down to the basement first
there's a key behind the ladders, pick it up
label on the box says 'horror'
Use that word as a combination to open the black safe near the stairs. Pick up the thingy from it, whatever it is (interestingly the game doesn't say what's that - it usually does.
The letter from the lobby's safe holds another key
There's a label on the wall with the secret combo '7980'
Use that on the yellow safe to get the match box and light one stick up. save it for later in the tool box.
Use the key to open room 1
Light the candle and make sure to remember the colours pattern displayed right above it on the wall.
