Ice Cream For Free

This is exactly why is important not to trust the strangers, especially if someone offers you a free icecream!

- in short -

Long story short - a little girl (name unknown) gets kidnapped by some creepy fake icecream truck driver, and now she's trying to escape. This is a point and click escape adventure, so forget about the keyboard and get prepared for a lot of clicking. If you pay attention to the van, you will see a creepy guy sitting at the front seat. I know I wouldn't buy anything from a guy like that, but does a little girl know that? Visuals and sound effects are minimal but done pretty good. The game is creepy but you can hardly call it scary. No jumpscares nothing like that. Some people might even find it fun :)

- storyline (spoiler) -

Once you accept to play, the game sets you off right in the basement where the most of the action takes place. The poor little girl is is all wrapped up in a rope and can barely move her foot toes. The point is to get her on the loose somehow. Don't make too much noise as that brings attention of the bad guy who than appears carrying a bloody meat chopper.

Let me help you out a bit with the gameplay. To start off, push off the cupboard on the wheels. The bottle comes off from the top shelf and breaks into pieces. Next, use that glass to cut little girl loose. Rolling around in a broken glass might not be the best idea, but the game takes care of that for you. You just keep on clicking. To reach the airduct, move the cupboard underneath and climb up. Unfortunately, that's not the way out. The good things is, the mad chef comes in to check out the noise, while you hide under the stairs, and when he leaves, he leaves the doors open. That leaves you the way out of the basement. The rest of the game leads you through the dusty old house, fool of improvised traps and spiderwebs. By the end of the game, the girl finds her friend (unfortunately in the meat chops storage), she kills the chef and finds the key for the main exit doors. The game has been made as a school project conducted by a group of German students. I can't confirm how old the game really is, since I have founded some information back in 2012, while the Newgroounds portal have released it in 2008!? Anyways, it's a good little adventure game, creepy enough to get on our creepy list. Enjoy it.

- Conclusion -

There's no such thing as free icecream! No seriously. The game could have been longer, the end comes way to easily so it feels quite unfinished. Yet the idea is original so I wanted to share it with you in case you haven't stumbled upon it somewhere already. I wish there were more creepy elements, more blood. The moment she discovers her friend in the frizer was cool. More of that please :)
