Midnight Man

You are home alone, or at least you think you are. The goal of the game is to avoid Midnight Man until 3:33AM. The gamer moves through the house freely and looks out for any indication that the Midnight Man is somewhere close by. The good signs are if the candle goes out, if something moves like door or any object. After the candle goes out you have 10 seconds to relight it....otherwise....game over for you. If you are still alive at 3:33AM you have won the game. If not, well, you can always start all over again. The clock starts ticking at 12:01AM...

About the Ritual

In the segment Ritual in the main menu is the explanation of the exact ritual on how the Midnight Man is summoned. The Ritual was used in the Pagan times to punish rule breakers long time ago. Everyone can try it but nobody knows what the consequences might be. It consists of 9 steps which must be followed to the letter. It is strongly recommended not to try it at home. But, if you can't resist and you find yourself with the Midnight Man in the house and feel you can't outrun him, make a circle made out of salt around yourself and wait it out. When the clock goes beyond 3:33AM you are safe again... until the next time.

Overall

The game is very well accepted by the gamers. Most find the game very scary, and some even describe how they fell out of their chairs while playing. Yet all agree that the best time for playing is after dark, when you are alone in the room with all lights out and your speakerphones on. The graphics is nicely done and movement through the house is easy and logical. Overall impression of the game is that is one of better dark scary games one can play.
