The Lost Souls

The Lost Souls is one of those games which are definitely not recommendable for timid people. Jump scares are completely sudden and so intense that there is no chance you won't be jumping out of your chair, that is a guarantee. The game is filled with hideous creatures, supernatural beings, paranormal activities and evil spirits.

This is a horror escape game from 2011/12 made by an indie developer Renato Aruffo for Nuclear Games. In these kind of games the intro story is minimal or there is none whatsoever. It is obvious that the goal is to stay alive and find the way out of wherever you are.

The story takes place in some kind of underground chambers which are converted into dungeons. Sounds and screams, torches burning on the walls, blood - all make the atmosphere creepy and blood chilling. |In time you find out that the place is cursed and inhabited by rather aggressive ghosts which can harm you. You are actually one of the prisoners used by the main character for his exorcism rituals. You will find him late on in one of the rooms hanging from the ceiling with the pentagram drawn under him. So, the jailer is dead but the ritual must be finished because that is the only way for you to get by those evil spirits and get out of there free.
