Curse Village 4
Curse Village 4
Curse Village 4
Curse Village is a zombie killing defense game series which started in 2009 and since today had 4 releases. That concludes this one, the 4th sequel which had been released, I believe, in the second half of 2014. The game studio responsible for all 4 exclusive releases of this game was belugerinstudios.com.
About the game
The game had slightly changed over the years, but the main concept remained always the same. The main character is one of the last survivors who tries to stay alive during the ongoing zombie apocalypse. Equipped only with a knife and a gun, standing behind improvised barricades, he represents the last line of defense of the dying civilization. The position he takes represents a counterpart of turrets we find in classic tower defense games. Even though you will partake in a mass slaughter of the undead hordes, you get quite easily accommodated to the killings and beheading of dozens and dozens of crawling creatures, as well as you get used to all the blood, which is, by the way, depicted in more cartoonish and less gory way.

How to play?
- mouse click to shoot or use any other weapon
- keys 1 through 6 to switch weapon
- P key to pause the game, go to main menu and take a break
What to strategize?
The map shows three important points: your next target area, risk areas and places you have previously "cleared" - secured areas. Money you collect, you can spend on building barricades, setting up the traps, or you can "buy" some human helpers or get some better weapons. Zombies are going to become stronger, more numerous and more resistant to cuts and bullets, so strategizing is essential for your survival.
Downsides
Good news is that many bugs from previous versions have been fixed. The bad news is that not much has changed. Identical zombies clones, repetitive gameplay, not very challenging - if not too 'easy' to beat, maybe even boring after a while. Basically we've seen a lot of similar survivor games, and this particular one is probably a rip-off of "The Last Stand" by Armor Games.
